With years of experience in the communications industry, George H. Sidman (“Butch”) has proven expertise in producing profit contributions through innovative business processes. He has held senior network and operations positions including corporate vice president network support, corporate vice president strategic network planning, president of operations ALLTEL Carolina and served as an officer of CT Communications (CTC). In these positions, he negotiated vendor contracts for more than $880M, asset swaps between major telecommunications companies and union contracts with organized labor.
Sidman conceived, created and ran his own VoIP company, Akabis,Inc., that provided wholesale and retail services throughout the United States. He regularly worked with companies to deploy and configure the TimelyBill system to allow theme to individually white label their billing to end users. He sold Akabis in 2016. Still cognizant of the need to provide a cost-effective billing solution to small telecom providers, he created a new company, BillRight, that offers small companies the same partitioned TimelyBill solution and seamless interface between the billing platform and the corresponding telephony components.
Sidman is a US Army veteran. He is married and lives in North Carolina.
